Rajasthan RTE Admission 2025: An important news has come for the parents and guardians of Rajasthan. If you want to provide free education to your child in a private school, then now you have this golden opportunity. The Rajasthan government has started the process of free admission in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. The government notification has been issued in this regard and the process of online application will start from March 25, 2025.

What is the RTE Act and why is it important?

The Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009 aims to ensure that no child is deprived of education. Under this Act, private schools have to reserve 25% of seats in their entry-level classes (pre-primary or first grade) for children from economically weaker sections (EWS) and disadvantaged groups (DG).

Under this scheme, if a child gets admission under RTE, he can get free education till class 12. Not only this, the government also covers the fees, books, uniforms, and other necessary expenses of the children, so that there is no financial burden on the parents.

RTE Admission for Application Process and Dates

The online application process will start from 25 March 2025 and parents can apply till 7 April 2025. After this, the selection process of the students applying will be through lottery system, the lottery of which will be drawn on 9 April 2025.

Parents of the children selected in the lottery will have to report to the respective school between April 9 and April 15, 2025. If a parent does not report on time, his seat allotment will be cancelled and his place will be given to another needy child.

RTE Admission for Necessary Documents

Before applying for RTE admission, it is important that you have all the required documents. Without the right documents, the application process may remain incomplete. The below mentioned documents will be required at the time of application:

  1. Income certificate (proof of annual income less than Rs 2.50 lakh)
  2. Child’s birth certificate
  3. Residence certificate (to prove that you live in the same area)
  4. Aadhaar card (of child and guardian)
  5. Caste certificate (if applicable)
  6. BPL card (if you fall under this category)
  7. Any other document that proves eligibility

Which children can apply?

If you are wondering whether your child’s age is appropriate for this plan, check out the information below:

  • For admission in Pre-Primary 3+ class, the child’s age should be between 3 to 4 years.
  • For admission in Class 1, the child’s age should be between 6 to 7 years.
  • Age will be calculated till 31 July 2025.

How to apply online for RTE School Admission?

If you want to get RTE admission for your child, it is very important to understand the online application process.

  1. First of all, visit the RTE Admission Portal of Rajasthan Government.
  2. Check the list of schools in your district and nearby areas.
  3. Select a maximum of 5 schools under your catchment area.
  4. Fill in all the required details and upload the relevant documents.
  5. Submit the form after checking it thoroughly and take a printout and keep it safe with you.

After RTE School Selected in the Lottery

If your child’s name comes in the lottery to be drawn on 9 April 2025, then you will have to report to the school where your child has got admission between 9 to 15 April 2025.

If a parent does not report, his/her selection will be cancelled and the seat will be given to another needy child. So, do not postpone reporting at all.
